Answer: As there are many types of business analyst job titles and positions the following set of responsibilities are very much generalized.
A business analyst is responsible for the project documents. It is also his or her responsibility to organize project meetings and analyze all relevant information that is available before the project. After the project initiation the business analyst will run meetings, interviews and facilitated sessions. It is the business analyst’s duty to organize trainings, update manuals and process descriptions. He or she has to prepare charts, graphs and write analysis reports to present the finding to the management. In the end of the project the business analyst has to prepare a summary report to show the starting points, the step that were taken and the results.
